1. ‘Troy’ spec trailer
I love historical epics, so this was a fun project to tackle. Click the image below to view. The quicktimes may take a minute to load, so please be patient.
2. ‘This American Life’ promo
This is a spec promo I cut for the cinematographer who shot This American Life. I think it captures the tone of the show quite well. Then again, Moby’s music makes anything look good…
3. ‘CSI’
Next we have a montage I cut for a cinematographer who shot several episodes of CSI. It’s a bit too long and I resisted using the music, but overall I’m still quite pleased with it.
4. ‘Phoebe In Wonderland’
This is a montage I cut for the cinematographer who shot Phoebe In Wonderland. The film didn’t have a trailer when I cut this, but when a trailer finally did appear online, I was amused to see that it bore some similarity to my montage. Either he ripped me off or neither of us are very imaginative…
5. ‘Joe Gould’s Secret’
Here’s a montage I cut for the cinematographer who shot Joe Gould’s Secret. I’m one of a handful of people who can claim they saw this one in the theatre. When I told the cinematographer, she was delighted. Damn good film, but not exactly a fun night at the movies…
All of these projects were edited with Final Cut Pro using a variety of elements ranging from 10-bit files to DV files to rips made from store-bought DVDs.
